CoD4 to BF2

I always found sniping on BF2 to be a little difficult, not hard, just not easy. And this past week, all ive been doing is playing CoD4 (yes, i have wayyy to much time...) and sniping. Well I got kinda bored and said, "Let's try some BF2". So I loaded up a J-bad server and took out my L96 and was getting moving headshotsfrom 150 yards away with no problem ( its kinda hard for me, maybe not for you guys, but for me... ). I was all calm and just killin those little terrorists with the greatest of ease! Anyway, what I'm trying to say is, have any of you guys experienced this? Going from CoD4 back to BF2 and everything seeming super-duper easy? Just something interesting I thought...

It's happened to me too. Personally, I think it's just because CoD4 is a little harder than BF2.

Haven't played CoD4, but I would have assumed the opposite were true - that going from accurate guns (CoD4) to inaccurate ones (BF2) would be more difficult. Guess not. *shrugs*

yeah thats weird cuz in COD4 u dont have to account for bullet drop or anything just point and shoot... well atleast i have never experienced having to account for bullet drop.. BF2 requires more skill for sniping.. also another reason u might find urself killing more on BF2 as a sniper rather than COD4 is the maps on bf2 are HUGE so its not soo much of a close encounter bloodbath.. and u can take ur time while taking a shot rather than CoD4 where soon as u see someone u got to make ur move cuz chances are thers an assult trooper not far from u.

another thing it could be is...you were just having a good day.. i know if im not 100% in the mood for a game i play like a 5 yearold.. yet when im in the mood i do quite well

Thats right,any game with sniper away and im pretty decent,bf2

well i know there is a little bullet drop and bullet travel time. but the big and small maps could be true now that i think about it. when i usually play BF2, i dont wait long enough, and now that im back to it, i wait for the perfect shot.

yeah its somthing CoD4 should have done...for me CoD4's small map sizes are its ONLY let down.. the rest of the game is 100% on the mark....for me anyway:nod:

but hey if it makes u better at bf2 its almost like resistance training for sports :P

I had that when I started playing CS:S.

The scout's just like the bolt-actions in BF2, but in CS you need quicker reactions, and when your aim gets good it passes on to BF2.

COD4 is nothing to compare with bf2 when we talk about infatry..cod4 simply PWNES..but again CS:S is a classic and i will still play it after 10 years if i can arrange a LAN party

The good thing about CoD4 is that the grass doesnt magically dissapear at long distanses like it does in Bf2

To the OP I found the exact same thing, I started up my own server with bots and just sat there pulling headshot while they were running around.. But the other guns see harder, xcept for snipers and noob tubes

Ehhh, the guns wasn't what made CoD4 harder for me. The reason I found it harder was because it's much harder to see enemies than in BF2. Oh, and there's the fact that I've being play CoD4 on a friend's PS3, so aiming feels slow with a joystick. Makes me feel like I'm at a disadvantage... I'd know I could preform better in this game if I played it on the computer (but that ain't gonna happen, don't have the money to upgrade my piece of junk).

I have dude, all I use now in BF2 is the sniper thanks to CoD4! lol

It's happened to me too. Personally, I think it's just because CoD4 is a little harder than BF2.

lulz i always found the opposite. CoD4 is far too noobified for me, some of my clan went to CoD4 and most returned. the ones returning found it too easy and the ones that stayed really really sucked at BF2. whereas the ones that came back found it far too easy. I myself found it very linear. it is designed nicely but simply run in shoot die/run in shoot die... well i can play IO karkand for that. stats stored on PC /FAIL. ranking to general in 5 days /FAIL. my 3 star actually means I Invested some time in BF2, in CoD4? being a general means you invested a week in it. PC crash? bye stats. NP i can get them back in a week but whats the point.
