Suddenly stopped working!

Hi,

Yesturday, I was playing some 2142 for an hour or so (first time in months!), and I started to enjoy it once again :).

But today! :wall: Pressed the Battlefield 2142 icon to load up 2142 to help relieve some boredom :P and this happened!!!! I just clicked it, screen flicked and this message appeared

My Specs: X2 4800+, BFG8800GTS 640mb, 2GB RAM (667), Vista HP 64bit. You will proaby say "Run in compatiable mode" Well I did! and it said place disc into DVD Drive (which it was). Please help me! I have deleted the cache folder as well! So that rules out two possibitites.

I get this ones in a while you can try and set it to use XP credentials.

Also, make sure you have all the hotfixes for Vista and from your gfx card manufacturer.

Maybe move/rename the C:\Users\*USER*\Documents\Battlefield 2142 folder. Had this problem the other week when I tried to start the game up, seemed to fix it.

Already Tried that, said I needed to insert the Disc...Which was already in there.

Got all of them for 2142 I believe.

Try deleting the Battlefield 2142 folder in My Documents, make sure you have your login details as it will wipe all settings.

Or maybe it has something to do with punkbuster as that would have been auto updated last time you played and may have got corrupted.
