Ranks!

Hi all! first time poster, new to the forums, veteran of the game.

I have a question I hope somebody can answer, I searched and searched for a related thread with no luck until I just said screw it!!

I've had this game since launch (PS3 version) and been having a blast, right now my rank is General Lvl 51, so that means that my badge is four stars, but I have noticed tha many players have other wierd badges at lower levels I just want to ask what do those mean and how do you earn them?

If this has been asked many times over I apologize.

That's probably prestige. Basically once you reach lvl 55 (max), you can enter prestige mode and reset your stats and unlocks to replay through the ranks again. As a reward you get a new icon.

Ya, from what I understand (being a PC'er) you get 10 prestige ranks, where once you hit 55, you start from the bottom and work back up, you get some special stuff I guess for being prestige.

Unfortunately, you do not get anything from going into prestige. Just a lame old badge and the fun of working your way back to level 55; in which you begin the horrible cycle again...

i'm prestige lvl 2, and tbh i wish i had never entered the first prestige, i miss my 5 stars and the first prestige badge is lame, so now i'm going to stop when i find a good looking symbol

Damn right Slaw almost everyone i know play the game about 5 hours a day and just dominate, would be nice for them to move prestige mode to PC just to show that it's better for PC than Xbox or PS3

The reason they gave prestige mode to the consoles and not the PC is to give console players some incentive to continue playing multiplayer, without becoming bored immidiately after reaching 55. After all, we dont get mods or custom maps, just some sh!tty, lame badges.
