The Next "BIG" Games?

Im sorry but GTA4 isn't a big game, It's the juggernaut of all games.

For some reason, I`m not hyped about GTA IV at all, not even a little bit. Same was with Vice and SA. All I can think is "meh" when I see a trailer, pic or an article about GTAIV.

This years Razzie awards will be swept by Paris Hilton and R6V2.

Ubisuck sure does know how to break a franchise to its knees, rub its testicles into its chin and then teabag the poor bastard to death.

As for R6V2, it is a big title, part of a big franchise. "Today" at least. It used to be pretty limited to a certain group of people.

Battlefield 3 (I've given up trying out other games of the similar genre, they're all **** compared to Battlefield.)
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway (for infantry I have CoD but this game shows potention so I'll give it a try.)

You honestly weren't excited by the vibrant colors of the 80's, getting on that moped for the first time and hearing Billie Jean..

Or, maybe when you played GTA, and listened as Big Smoke ordered lots of food, OG Loc pretended to be gangsta and Ryder will "Keep up Mother****er!".

Spore will no doubt be a big game, FFOW might do well, I for one will be playing. GTA4 will do well but I might not get it, atleast not straight away.

Played GTAIII, thought the gameplay was overly arcade, graphics complete crap, same with story and gameplay, so was with SA and Vice too. All three games are collecting dust from the first week I got em. Not gonna buy GTAIV, prolly will torrent it when I got nothing to do.
I don`t really get what people see in driving a car into a wall 1213 times only for it to break the same way every single time.

Now Mafia, that`s a whole another story. Can`t wait for the second part.
PS. Just watched a gameplay vid of Clear Sky and it gave me a hard-on.

But you can have pink and purple armor in R6V2. How can something like that be bad?

I used to own all in the WiC beta, is it still possible to go for pure heavy helicopters and rampage around the map?

Yeah, there's a crudton of Support people going around as heavy AA and repair tanks. They recently (with the last patch) decreased the accuracy of the rockets from the rocketpods on the heavy choppers, so if you encounter any more than 2 heavy AA units with your choppers (and you have 4), you'll probably get raped if you try to take them on. Well, at least one of your choppers will die for sure.

There's also a good bit of medium AA out there too, and when people spawn 6 med. AAs and a repair tank, it's a nightmare for choppers - you just don't know what to shoot at first.

Ultimately, I think Armor and support are the point whores now. Infantry just gets crushed by almost everything out there, despite the fact that it's so darned useful. Pun intended by the way.

If your AAA title launch trailer looks like an amateur highschool movie project, and is wrong in every cinematographic aspect, then you know theres something brutally screwed up.

IMO Crysis is the BIG game of the present...and will be for the Future upon release of part 2 and 3 along with even the Mods for the game. I can't think of another game that even sits on the same wall of glory with the intense graphics and game play that Crysis was built around. When you can run 35FPS in Crysis being as smooth if not more than BF2 is with 100 that means something. When you can destroy just about anything in the game vs others.. well, that too means a hell of alot! I don't care what anyone says at this point but the SP of Crysis was top notch! The MP of Crysis still has a little work but its far better than others on the market at this point *cough* COD4 *cough*. But hey, I don't want to turn this thread into a which is better blah blah blah..just telling it as it is in reference to a future proof game that isn't owned by Blizzard or is spelled WoW.
