    Thinking about getting the game.

Hi, I am thinking about getting bf2 deluxe edition. I have been playing bf2142 for while and before going out and spending $40 on bf2 I thought I'd make sure my computer could handle the game. I ran a system requirements lab check only to learn my computer failed for the CPU
    I have:
    Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.66GHz

I don't understand it because I can run the demo without a glitch on high graphics. It told me before that I couldn't run NHL 08 but I still could.

Everything else passed fine. Can anybody help? Would I be able to run the game at all?

A slow proc. really doesn't matter. It's your GFX card and ram that you have. You should be fine but please post your specs so I can make sure.

I ran it on a 2.8 ghz Celeron, 1 gig ram and an Nvidia 6200 (pci), I had most of the settings on low and had a bit of lag but it was playable. Go for it soldier !

i think it picked up on that because your processor is a celeron, which arent that good =(

          Thanks for the quick reply.

          Here are my specs.

          Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.66GHz
          2.67 GHz
          Windows XP
NVIDIA GeForce 6200 (GeForce 6200) (I only have PCI slots)
          502.8 MB of RAM.

I am buying 2 512mb ram sticks soon.

Like I said, the only thing the system check said I failed for was the CPU. Hopefully I will be able to play the game.

That's almost the same setup as I had except for the ram, I had a Dell 1100, you will need the extra memory. As I mentioned above you'll most likely have to set everything on low but you should get away with it.

Thanks. I am not concerned about graphics (I play bf2142 in low and don't mind at all)

If you can play BF2142 then you can play BF2 on the same PC, it may even run better.
