Spore Release Date Announced!

The long awatied Spore game from EA and Maxis finally has an official release date of September 7, 2008. After being speculated as vaporware by many, this comes as a relief to fans. A new teaser was released with the news.

I have been on the spore newsletter list since the game was announced (2005?) and this is the FIRST thing that has EVER been sent out on it. Here is what it said:

Hi, I’m Will Wright and I’m working on a new game called Spore™. You’ve heard of it? Oh, that’s right, you signed up to get the Official Spore Newsletter. According to my notes, we haven’t sent a single newsletter out. Maybe that’s why I’ve been hearing from so many fans wanting some new information on Spore.

I just got word that the European release date will be on September 5, 2008. This is an outrage!
