Bunny hopping is one of the most effective infantry combat tactics in BF2. It's not hard to do, just takes a little practice. Once you get your timing right and have the hang of it, as mentioned above you will most likely will see in increase in KDR. It's not a cheat but macros can be made and are used for some of the related.
MOST people can't land 1 round on you when bunnyhopping.
Use caution though, lower achieving players will hate you, insult you and admins will kick/ban you. Same as they do solo'ers and anyone else that takes advantage of the game/engine.

Bunny hoppers are easy to kill, while they're hopping around like a bunch of *******es, I am firing my GL where they are about to land and sending them for a MUCH higher trip into the sky. If you need to bunny hop to kill people you're just fighting a bunch of noobs who don't know how to counter it. PS, the best times are when the little ******* have the nerve to call ME a noob. Morons. Also you can shoot ONCE (handy with the grenade launcher) if you jump off a higher ledge, if you click insanely as you fall you'll get one shot off, which happens to be all you need with the grenade launcher before you hit the ground. Although to do this the ledge will have to be high enough that you could use your parachute.
PSS: I'm surprised you didn't mention PR WaahWaah :P
bunny hopping suxs big time,no skill involved, and u dont see the army bunny hop do u
I also don't see the army respawn 15 seconds after being suicide bombed either. Maybe its just a coincidence or maybe its a GAME?????????

This is why I said people will hate you, this guy totally avoided the fact I said MOST people and went right for his own personal struggle and playing preference.
Bunny hopping leads you to the next tier of skill in Battlefield 2 close quarter infantry combat, there's no denying that fact. Either you learn to do it, or you learn to kill everyone else extremely quickly, or you'll be meat.
Hopping in high level competition is only somewhat useful for evasion, and maybe a very slight advantage in extreme CQB situations with a shooty/gl. I still definitely frown upon it though.
^^LOL! Whats there to learn? You press Space multiple times and thats pretty much it. Bunnyhopping isnt exactly a "skill"...
Bunny hopping is not as simple as pressing space a few times, you need to know what time to do it, combat situations when it should be used, when to stop bunny hopping and shoot, etcetera
Ruger ^ of course it's something to be frowned upon if you don't do it, after all, it's unrealistic and completely ridiculous, but damn it gives you a great advantage in fights.
