l dont get ping, is it the higher the number the better the connection speed or what can someone please tell me because i dont know

Higher the number, the worse your connection to the server is.

Low ping = gooood.

A good ping is anything less than 100 IMO. Over that and you will start lagging.

i went on a server yesterday and i had 16 ping...

Testing latency and pings a while back to multiple games..I've found with different systems, Operating systems etc anything higher than 40ms you start to see issues with responsive controls. Best to find something 40 or less, some DSL connections are better than Cable..but very few that I've seen are.
