    Whitch sniper to use?

Alright, sometimes when iam playing sidi Powerplant as commander I usually get on the hills near silos 5 and 3 and provide great cover for my squad. Even if iam a Brigadier General and unlocked the Zeller-H Advanced Sniper I never use it Rifle since it only has 3 rounds in a clip and dose alot more sound then the Morretti SR4 (EU) and Park 52 (PAC) so the NME can spot you easer. Even if the Zeller-H Advanced Sniper Rifle dose more damage it still takes 2 shots to kill the NME if you cant shoot the head... So i never use it. Is that a bold move or em I right?
If someone could tell the advantages of the Zeller-H Advanced Sniper Rifle, if it as some, i would be pleased.
    Thx

You can destroy APM's, RDX and Motion mines with the Zeller, it rocks when you shoot at a MM and the Engineer that placed it dies. It counts as a teamkill for him  Won't give you any points but boy is it fun.

If you prefer the stock ones feel free to do so. I use the stock rifles but there are times I wish I had a Zeller.

Don't forget that if you shoot enemy wearing light armor to the chest, it's one shot one kill with the Zeller..

Only true in a very special case. There is a tiny, nearly microscopic hitbox at the upper shoulder area that is a one-shot kill against light armour, this is true, but hits to the other chest hitboxes (primary upper chest, torso and stomach) only do the standard 90 damage against light. The OHK box on the chest is small enough that it is often easier to simply hit the head than bother with it - the head is actually a bigger target.

Headshots do 180 damage from a Zeller and ignore armour. Headshots from the stock rifles do 160 damage and ignore armour. Both are sufficient to kill. If you miss the head, it's a two shot kill in 99% of cases regardless of the weapon used. I prefer the stock rifles (Park and Morretti) for the larger clip sizes, dimmer muzzle flash and reduced noise.

I use the Zeller in closer combat. It makes me giggle when I no-scope an assault trooper in the face XD.
But if I had the choice of the Park or the Zeller, I'd go Park. (I HATE EU stock for some reason).

Doesn't 1.40 patch has light armor in default? So the "new comers" could fell for it...

And some people who thinks, *OMG I have camo and light armor, no one can see me, im just gonna go and spring across this street in FoB*

Usually ended up dead in the middle of the street after my Zeller had bark'd..

We had so many discussions about this before.

It's not "microscopic" area. It's upper chest area(from tits to throat*i believe*). The sad part is that you really don't know if you hitted the "sweet spot" or head...

I used to love Zeller, and, i think, that i did pretty good with it.[/brag]

So, to answer the question "witch sniper to use?", i'd say, try them both out, see what fit's you the most. After all it's just matter of personal preference...

Just remember if you play as a sniper. Only shots what counts is headshots..

                :salute:

I like to run around with the sniper rifles and no scope people, then finish them off with the pistol. So, as you probably have guessed, I roll with the Zella :p I also play alot of titan, so the power to defuse Motion Mines is no small blessing.

More like the collarbone to the throat in my experience. By square area I am fairly certain it is actually smaller than the head (though cumulative area is the issue). Either way the point is that it's not a substantial portion of the torso. No sense debating that.

Best advice to take right here. Listen to what others have to say, of course, but it's your game - use what works for you in the end.

Indeed, I usually roll with light armor as well nowadays. Most people fail to see the benefits of it.

                            The benefits depend on situation.

Try using Light Armour on Clan Mod.

Lol, light armour there pretty much means that you're asking for death.

Always basic rifles for me, just learn to get the headshots in as said and that's all that counts. Gives away your position less if you're not giving them a chance to see where it's coming from by the damage-direction indicator.
