Exiting Commander Mode

Every time I exit Commander Mode the menu screen loads, is this a known bug and is there any way to stop it. And can the creepy laugh be turned off, it give me the willies.:cry:

i dont know what you mean "commander mode" what do you mean?

Try not to press "esc" when exiting the commander screen. This is not a known bug afaik. Never happened to me...

You can try to search for the laugh sound file in your BF2 folders and just delete/rename it. Don't know if this works or if it messes everything up as consequence :p

dont use ESC to exit commander mode, use the caps-lock key which is default.

the creepy laugh is a BF2 taunt that only players that have signed up for the BF2 veterans program have. some info on it here (at the end):

The veterans program has ended, so I don't think they give the taunt out anymore.
Also that 2nd post is wrong. you dont have to have 2142 installed to use it, you only had to sign up for the veterans program with your bf2 nick.
The taunt only happens when someone that has the taunt 'spots' someone in BF2 the instant they die. then everyone hears the laugh.

I never knew about that taunt thing. Next time I play BF2, I'll have to try it!
