Not being promoted - more than enough points?

Hi,

This has probably been asked before but the search feature around here isn't very comprehensive... gave me a bunch of results for COD4 and BF2 and Crysis and such... so, basically, I did try searching, but couldn't find a useful result.

I have about 1280 points and only needed 1050 to promote to my next rank (which one it is I forget) - but is there a reason why? The bar is full and my unlocks says "0 available." Hmm....

UPDATE: Well, for some reason, after about a day, I played some more and it awarded my promotion. Never had this "time lag" before. Oh well.

It is very common, and in most cases just go to another server, and in the course of the round, you will get your promotion.

After taking a short break, and to test a new 5.1 speaker setup I created a new soldier and have been playing with for the last couple of days to see how my stats would look when starting from fresh.

Anyhow tonight I was promoted 9 times in one round. Every 30 seconds or so it would flash up 'soldier you have been promoted'. I must have added about 12,000 points in that round although at the end I had a normal score! Hell knows how that happened.

you probebly got a weird recruit bug. as i got knife bronze without any knifes before(duh it was my first round) with a new soldier.and ive got much times over points for promotion. just wait a day and get one point then you will get promoted.

I had the recruit bug many times with my previous soldier but this was different. For some reason unknown to me I was given 12,000 or so points.

I guess it's just karma - for all the people not getting promoted when they should there are some being promoted for free instead :laugh:

with a new soldier i am promoted and the rank and stuff is there but i cant chose any unlocks. those are 4 unlocks i cant get.
