PunkBuster Issue: Restriction: Service Communication

Now that my BF2 has started working after it was randomly crashin to desktop now after only about a 5 or 6 minutes of playing online and i get kicked by punkbuster and get the message

Restriction: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrB.exe driver failure (PnkBstrk.sys) ffao

Anyone have a clue what this means and how to fix it?

ive not met this exact error before, try updating your pb

that usually fixes many of the PB issues

Yeah, this problem just started for me today. I did the step-by-step Punkbuster uninstall/reinstall process to no avail. I also tried running without a firewall too.

In my last few games I ran my process list on my second monitor while playing to see what was going wrong. While in the game, PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe appear on the list and then all of a sudden PnkBstrB.exe disappears about a second before I'm dropped from the server. Once I'm out of the server PnkBstrB.exe reappears on the process list.
