Don't bring guns to a knife fight.

I'm sure everyones heard the phrase don't bring knives to a gunfight but any experienced ground-pounder knows the knife is better in some situations than anything else, you can get in there, cause chaos, go for that pesky medics throat, and if you're good enough force TK's.

Anyone else feel this way?

rofl, I was on a karkand server once...I think it was UKAW and all of us decided to use knifes for no apparent reason. It was so funny when two people saw each other; they'd simultaniously put away there weapons and charge straight at eachother... :laugh:

i hardly get a kill with a knife, it seems to never work for me. id rather bring the gun and blow them away

Ah knifing in BF is so much fun...

It's the best weapon to take out whole squads imo (except for nades or C4) and I always get a smile on my face when I knife three guys in a row.

There's something about knifing that gets the blood up.... A series of nasty knife kills feels far more satisfying than nade spamming or mowing down noobs.

There's a psychological edge to it too, as experienced when on Jalal, where enemy noobs were hogging that large boulder to pin us down at the outpost. (IO of course).

A death defying charge, spamming nades, then jumping behind their lines with the knife out - time after time - screwed their game up good style.:laugh:

Knives are tough

I have always had a tough time killing with the knive. I have been playing for some time now and only have a few kills.

Since I only played sniper for the last few months, I have gotten used to using it all the time when facing someone with an AK. It's pretty embarrasing for the guy lol...

I love running up on 1-3 folks with a knife and them being stupid enough to pull knives.....

The knife is only good in a situation where you're completely out of ammo for your main gun, period. Anything else would not work against competent enemies.
