I always, always use light armor. The extra armor impedes movement much more so than it increases your ability to survive. That ability to move fast has saved my life and cost the enemy their lives numerous times. That's good enough for me. :salute:
Light vs. Heavy Armor

I almost always use light, and flank as much as I can. Most of the time the one who sees the other first wins. An extra bullet or two makes little difference. I'm sure I've died sometimes because of it, but I've more often won out by being able to get to cover, get around someone, beat the bad guy to that empty armor, etc. I really only use heavy if I think to put it on for titan defense or a real choke-pointed (or pitched defense) head-on slug-fest.Comment

I used to always use heavy... then I saw the light
(bad pun, I know)
With light, you are FASTer and you can jump a little further, so you can get to spots that heavy armor doesnt allow.
I go light now the entire time UNLESS I am ONLY defending, such as titan corridors or an area and have no plans on doing anything other then that.
The little bit of speed helps and I think someone did a comparison of heavy vs light and the heavy protection was only a shot or two more.
Anyway, thats why I go light.

A shot or 2 counts in close quarters where assault players are shooting at eachother and then are able to go back with 10 health left to heal or revive other teammates after the fighting stops.I used to always use heavy... then I saw the light

Yes it does and you should play with whatever armor you like.
I have found that in CQC, I can circle an enemy faster than they can target me and I will usually beat a heavy armor guy because of it. Same goes for side stepping and straffing. You should try it out yourself, I was very surprised.
EDIT: Shotty, it doesnt matter
Actually, thats what got me started in light armor. I was playing Belgrade and was running in one of those two story buildings and ran into enemy. NORMALLY, I mow them down. This guy side stepped and circled and killed me. He did it so fast, I wondered what the deal was. When I killed him later on, I noticed he didnt have the armor colors. So I tried it.

You make a very valid point, if an enemy starts firing at you (other than LMGs) but then they miss part of thier burst because you are strafing sideways. Lets say from 15-20M away. and then you put accurate shots into them because they have already committed to shooting and are stationary along with thier shots starting to spread more you will win much of the time regardless of your armor type.Yes it does and you should play with whatever armor you like.

The heavy armor is more of a psychological thing for me cause i've used it for so long. That and i know i look way cooler than someone with light armor lol. Serisouly, visually compare the PAC heavy armored troops and the light armored guys. Heavy armor looks way more badass. I realize this thinking is not that logical but whatever

Light Armour doesn't make you faster or Jump further, it gives you more stamina in return for less protection.Comment

Yes, you are correct, I didnt word that correctly on the faster, I should have stated the stamina or running FURTHER.
As for the jumping, there are areas in Gibraltar that I cannot get to while in heavy armor. Maybe thats some type of placebo affect, but with armor, I cant do it.
Of course, everything that I have read about the differences, its only further sprint and faster sprint revive.

Depends on class and battlefield situation. For storming a Titan, there is no reason to ever be wearing light armour (possible exception for a recon moving quickly between consoles). Similarly, as a concealed sniper there is no reason to ever be wearing heavy armour - to be effective you need to be mobile.
The other variable is play style. I use light armour about 90% of the time in conquest battles because I am a very positional fighter, who likes to flank, outmaneuver and outsmart opponents. That can be tougher to do with so little stamina. The negligible increase in protection simply does not make up for the drastic loss of maneuverability pound for pound with the way I play the game - though others who play differently are certainly entitled to disagree. Being able to survive one extra hit is irrelevant when you should have been in better position in to begin with, and killed the enemy without being hit in the first place.
Fight smarter, not harder. :)Comment

Well I mostly use only heavy for the simple fact that I don't like to be one shotted by snipers. I am usually always moving so they don't get that head shot. If my health goes from full to 10 in one shot I take cover and that gives me a chance to spot the sniper and take them out.Comment
