Having Diffculties Running BF2 with Vista

I have done almost everything I have changed my refresh rate to 60hertz on my screen, i have deleted the folder and it's contents without deleting the actual game nothing, what happens is that the BF2 splash screen comes out and then I get a black screen then nothing it crashes to the desktop.
