Failed to install Battlefield 2

Right as I finish installing Bf2, I get this message.

is this the first time u install the game or have u had it installed on this machine before?

Windows XP
AMD athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+,
2,0 GB RAM,
Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT X2 SLI

I had bf2 installed like 8 months ago and played a lot. I just tried to install it now and got that message. Only tried to install once.

hmm try deleting registry key entries then try to install again
