    Re-install on Windows 64bit

    Hello gents,
    New here and didnt see this posted before, this is a 2part...

    first I upgraded to windows xp 64bit, can I play BF2 on this o/s?

    2nd question before I reinstalled my o/s I backed up the EA folder from C:drive and the Battlefield2 folder from My doccuments which file can I replace after I reinstall BF2 to get all my setting back?

    help is appreciated.

    1. Yes. I play on Vista 64 with no problems so XP 64 should be OK.

    2. Put it back in the same place you backed it up from. The My Document folders in XP 64 are the same as 32 bit. Just go to the \Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache folder and delete everything in the cache folder (that's where all the files when you go through the "optimizing shaders" crap are).

      awsome, I am just lazy and didnt want to redo all of my settings. now all I gotta figure out is the issue with crysis and my headphones. Ill save that for another forum. ty

        running xp-x64 here... no problems. if you have an X-fi and 4 gig of ram be sure to get the new beta x-fi drivers that were just released last month.
