Problem with Multiplayer on PS3.

Last three weeks the multiplayer on COD4 hasant been working.
Once i click play online the game freezes. No error message appears.
Its the same problem when i want to play a 2 player game offline, i click on start match and the game freezes, with no error message.

Whats the problem? Other game work perfectly online.
The disc hasant got any scratches. Its annyoing.
Is their a patch needed to be downloaded???
