Zoom Control on 50 Cal.

I just got COD4 and I’m trying to understand this awesome sim by going through the single player missions. In the “One Shot, One Kill” mission I have to use a 50 Cal at long distance. The message on the screen says use the forward and back keys to zoom in and out. Well I have tried every key on the key board and nothing makes the scope zoom in. Would some one take pity and through me a bone? I hate being such a noob. Thanks for any help or a bone some one can offer.

Um... it's simply the "W" and "S" key iirc.

Check they are mapped correctly.

As in Walking forward and walking backwards. Like Alex said it is normally the W for forward and S for backwards. Unless you changed it.
