    Missing something?

I've played thru the game now and have some questions:

1)any way to survive "shock and awe" and keep Jackson from dying slowly in the chopper wreakage?
For the life of me,I can't get Deadly back to the chopper in less than 57 seconds.
Am I missing something I needed to shoot?
A way to keep Deadly's chopper from getting shot down?

2)anyway to take zaekav's boy before he shoots himself?

These are things that are supposed to happen. So yeah...

I haven't played singleplayer in a while but is shock and awe the one where you're crippled and you just crawl around or is that the part where you have to save the pilot?

You can't save Jackson, you can get about 50 to 60 yards away from the chopper if you're quick on the draw and persistant.

No trick for getting back to the chopper, just run in and run back as fast as possible, I don't think I ever even fired a bullet.

This is a joke, right? You're referring to scripted events that have forced multimedia components within a rigid storyline. Come on, dude :)

          1. No, you will always die in Aftermath
1a. All you have to do on Shock and Awe is just run towards the downed helicopter, pick up the pilot and run back to the chopper.
          2. No, he will always shoot himself after you get too close to him or too far away from him.

            1. Nope, part of the game.
            2. Nope, get too close, he'll shoot himself. Stay back, he'll say stuff, then shoot himself.

              "Sheeeeit, kid's got some issues"

Nothing personal, I just couldn't pass up a joke this obvious.

Then what's the point of the Jackson and Zaekev Jr. characters/scenarios if they can't be played to a successful conclusion?

Seems like a recipe for frustrating futility,to me.
CoD2 gave the player more "free will",so to speak.
Speaking of CoD2,I like both games, the graphics, etc, but really not much continuity here,is there?

People die in war. Jackson and lil Zakaev are examples of people who die in war. You play as soap anyway.

                    Just finish the campaign.

Well, hello, that's what happens in most FPS single player games, the main character always survives. In CoD1, Pvt. Martin, Sgt. Evans, and Pvt/Sgt. Voronin all survive in the game. It just makes you think that they were all invincible and survived each conflict they participated in. Same goes with the characters in CoD2... In the CoD4, the developers decided to change it up a bit.

Well, CoD2 was WWII and CoD4 is modern warfare. So no, no continuity in storyline...
