    What to change? (SPECS)

My friend is planning to get 2142, but I don't think his computer will run it as is. Could someone check out these specs and tell me what he would need to replace to run Battlefield 2142 at a decent level?

Your video card is extremely weak, and I don't think it would even be able to play the game. Integrated graphics are not really meant for gaming. Also you only have 512mb of ram, this is a very low amount for this game. I would suggest at the very least another 512 stick. Also, perhaps i am missing something, but I don't see what processor you are running.

I partially agree w/ previous poster , yes your friends pc wont run 2142 worth a flip . Where I would urge caution is the mistake made my many/most , thinking they can just "add" modern video cards or ram , thinking that will solve all issues . Before adding anything one should look long and hard at their current powersupply , the most often overlooked piece of harware a PC has . The quickest way to trash an old PC is to try to add hardware w/ out studying the power consumption need of the new hardware vs. the output of the current powersupply . From personal experience , I burnt up my first bulid in such a way ... I bought top flight hardware , tried to skimp on the powersupply , and a few days later I had a 30 pound paperweight . Tell your friend to proceed w/ caution , or better yet , start saving his money for a new pc .
