    BF2 not working---black screen

    My friend recently bought BF2. When he trys to load the game, it just goes black and returns him to his desktop. Any help?

    Specs:
    1GB ram
    1.6Ghz proc
    250GB HD
    128MB Intelr G33/g31 express chipset family(I dunno lol) video card.

    that processor is below minimum specs if its a single core processor.If its a dual core celeron or something itll be fine.I suspect the video card.anything lower than a 5200fx and you will not play bf2.

              Yeah that pos card aint gonna cut it,he needs a dedicated video card.Any idea what bus type he has?

                it looks like a laptop since it's has an intel chipset and a 1.6ghz dual core so I don't think he'll be able to upgrade the graphics

                  Naw, he has a desktop.

                  and I believe he has PCI.

                    well atleast he can upgrade. you should find out if he has PCI or PCI-E
