Match Bonus

Can you guys tell me how match bonus works? I know its something to do with winning, but nothing else. Please help!:yay:

I'm curious as well - it seems like you get a large bonus even if you lose most of the time, and it varies widely by game type. Does anyone have the numbers behind it?

I dont really know, but I suppose u get more match bonus if you kill, plant/defuse bomb, cap HQs and so on...

^^^ From what I've seen, it's mostly based on game type objectives and completing them. So capping the HQ, plant/defuse the bomb, etc... TDM and FFA are probably just who has the most kills.

Hmm, well on COD4 over the weekend me and me mate have been playing together and weve found that even if he beats me in points during the match by 100+ sometimes that we still get the same match bonus. Theres actually been a couple of times when ive getten a higher match bonus than him even if ive come below him by 100+. The match bonus's we had were very close take or give 1 or 2 sometimes.

Note: We are both rank 55, so i think rank could have a big impact on it no matter where your position in the leaderboard

Speculation Guesses:

#1: How long the match lasts.

#2: How much distance you travel

#3: How many bullets or other devices you use.

#4: The rank of the people you play against.

As for proof? There isn't any. I haven't found any values for it yet.

There is however a Cap for Match Bonuses depending on your level.

A level 5 will not be able to gain more than 50 Match Bonus Points, even if he earned 300+ that round.

Well let's put it this way. I started a second account for giggles. When I was like lvl 5 or so I played an HQ map, I played the entire round, and ended up 70:22 k:d, I also captured the best overall score for both teams... my match bonus was around the 130-150 area.

I believe the match bonus criteria is a near direct reflection of your rank, along with minor factors according to you playing.

I think it has something to do with point to Time ratios, since if you played a short time but get a **** load of points you will get a great match bonus, if you play for a long time and get like 4 points, you will get basically nothing.

+ Some one said that there was a cap, saying if you were level 5 you could only get a max of 50 Match bonus, well being 55, if have encountered many times where I have had over 550 match bonus even going into the thousands, so that can't be right.
