Hi everyone, I've been doing what I call "Setting up a quick bunker/hideout" for a long time now and I figure I'll share my experience with the less experienced people.
NOTE: This guide will work for all classes but is best employed by assault, engineer or spec ops.
Step one: Pick a defendable point to establish your bunker.
The best spots for these are areas where there are only one or two entrances and well concealed. A good example of a good bunker is between a building/wall and another building with a small pocket you can fortify. The building across the street from the Survaliance Post on Sharqi is a good example. The one with the ladders to climb. Theres that little space in there thats easy to fortify. Another thing to take into consideration is access to higher elevations, this is especially important for assault so you can get to a better vantage point to use your grenade launcher.
Step two: Begin raiding kits.
As you kill snipers, supports, and ESPECIALLY medics, wait till the area is clear and pick up their kits. Stack up piles of ammo crates and medkits in the corners of your area and put claymores in the entrances. Your best spot to put a claymore is illustrated below, the star is the claymore, the |'s are walls and corners.

This is ideal because it makes it harder for people to lob grenades into your bunker.
Step three: Profit and maintenance.
After you've established your field base, its important to ensure that you keep your fort well stocked, this isn't an issue because support, sniper and medic are common classes and as long as you are careful you can raid supplies after the battle is over. Also remember that kits and supplies will disappear over time.
Take into consideration the popularity of the area your in, if you're in the areas of the map that squads will sneak through to get to another cap point, such as the hills between the alley and the city entrance on Sharqi, chances are you won't be needing keeping your bunker up for very long. If you're in an area like the hotel flag in Karkand, be especially sure to keep yourself stocked. Ammo is almost as important as medkits because you can use it to keep your GL stocked and claymores to defend your entrances.
I hope my little guide helped.
Good luck out there!
