VOIP Problem

The issue I am having is that the levels of my mic are too low for others to comfortably hear me.

The problem must have something to do with BF2, where you can normally check the "Boost Mic Volume" box, I can no longer do that. It is faded out and won't let me select it.

Any ideas?

wait, so you used to have voip working but now it doesnt? and u used to be able to check the box but now u cant?

Check you sound driver is up to date a functioning correctly (Device manager).

Check the device is configured (Control Panel\Sounds click on Voice tab).

Run BF2Voicesetup.exe (C:\program files\EA Games\battlefield2)

Try VOIP in the game.

Another tip on top of The_Mad_MoShah's. Try using your rear audio ports (on motherboard or sound card) if you've been using front audio ports of your PC case. I went from muffled voice to crystal clear when doing this myself.
