    Laptop suggestions?

    I'm looking to get a laptop and would love to play bf2 & hopefully bf3 withit ...Now, most I've come across come with the 8400gt or gs dedicated video cards. Would this be sufficient enough? Or do any of you guys/gals have any of your own suggestions?

    thanks,
    CamoJak Out!:salute:

    **added spec/price range: 1000-$2000 range anything but Dell

    8400 = bad card.

    The latest graphics chipset to be distributed on laptops at the moment is the 8600m GT, which I have. I can play bf2 on my lappy at about 40 fps in 1440*900 res whith most high settings.
    If you want really good gfx performance you can always look at Alienware laptops with dual 7950s, which would outperform a single 8600m GT.
    You say anything but Dell but they make the best (and cheapest) laptops that come with 8600m GTs, anything below that card (unless it's a good 7900 or 7950) will simply suck at games.

        Don't get a laptop if you want to play BF3 with some sort of higher settings. For BF2 a 8400 will work fine but try to get something better if possible.

            compare laptop video benchmarks here:

            Sort and filter through all currently available mobile graphics cards by performance or specification.

              Alienware laptops are beasts, but they cost sh!tloads.

                Build your own. Otherwise, they will be expensive.

                  Alienware are rip offs, build your own desktop for half the price and double the specs.
