  • Battlefield 2 Freezing!!!!!

Ok, battlefield 2 freezes when I run it. It gets to the EA Games intro screen and just freezes. I have to use Control Manager to get out of it and sometimes even restart my computer. I also removed the intro screen (using a tweak that was recommended to me by a FAQ on a website), but now it just freezes at the profile selection page. One time I got to the loading page, but when it finishes loading I can not click "Join Game". Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the game to work?

Here are my computer specifications, I'm pretty sure they meet the recommended specifications:

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition
    System Manufacturer: eMachine
    BIOS: PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.0
    Processor: Mobile AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.8GHz
    Memory: 1278MB RAM
    DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon 9600/9700 series. 64 Mb.

I also have the latest Omega Graphics driver for my Graphics Card.

    Thanks!

64 mb card isn't gonna play the game too hot.

But it should still run shouldnt it?

Is there any way I can add more MB to my card, or do I have to change the card completely?

I will reinstall the game tomorrow and see if it helps.

you should really buy a new card, you can't add memory to your existing one.

Not trying to be a smart ***,BUT the first thing i would do is build/buy a gaming rig and throw that emachine away Or use it for surfing the net or d/l pron what ever you are into.

I may be out of line here but thats what you should do IMHO.

            Good luck bud.
            :salute:
