Hi, just moved from dsl to cable and now I cant play BF2 anymore or any other game for that matter, I was doing some research and found out that a lot of ppl are having the same problem with this ISP, TimeWarner Cable or RoadRunner, my service is 7down/512up, I'm going through a router (never had issues with router connection), since the first day my ping started jumping around from 45 into the 600s, if you know any solutions or have any experience with this ISP please help me!!

I have found with RR that you must restart your PC every 2/3 hrs as soon as I do this it lowers my ping and gets rid of the lag. I have no idea why! -
call up your ISP and yell at them. I have "Verizon" DSL, and they give me **** service, my line goes dead about once a week for a period of half an hour, no reason, just does. I am on a 220 dollar D-Link gaming router and omg its great, but my ISP isn't.Comment

Your connection problems seem to be coming from packet lose..I suggest contacting the ISP and letting them know what is going on. You may need to call a few times cause I'm sure from what I hear of them they are as bad as Comcast on fixing issues since it requires money to even move a van.Comment

hmmm, do you know how to ping a server??? if so, try get the IP of a battlefield 2 server, and ping it using CMD. this will tell us if yur loosing pakets and stuff, if its a low ping, then i think its to do with bf2......anyhoo go for the pinging and give us a reply!!Comment
