Help! How to install Special Force?

I have got my vanilla BF2 installed for months and pacthed it up to date. Now I want to revisit some of the maps of Special Force. So I installed it but when I started the game, it gave me a very weird error message saying somehting like .dll not found. Vanilla BF2 still runs ok. Can some one help?

You have to install Special Forces and then repatch to the latest patch, 1.41.

1. remove Bf Vanilla
2. Install it again
3. install SF
4. use Patch 1.41( full)

You dont have to uninstall anything, just repatch to 1.41.
Adding SF just rolls back the patch version of vanilla BF2. You can install the 1.41 patch right back over the SF install.
