how do I type messages in game?

I am fixing to try multiplayer today, just wanted to know how to put text on screen? any help here would be greatly appreciated:salute: I'm SURE I will neeed a LOT of help.....

I changed it from T and Y to F9 and F10, I found T and Y would just get in the way of game-play time and time again.

But yea default is T and Y .
