no he's not, he can take out key target at long range and that is very useful

Any good medic that would be worth "key target" status would have the smarts to stay behind walls near constantly, making the only key targets for the sniper....other snipers. And that's what happens in every server. There's a main battle centering on the obj, then there's a semi-isolated sniper duel going on in the rafters.
