Hardcore vs. Softcore

I'm starting to think they're just complaining because adapting to that style of gameplay is too hard.

IMO i think its harder to pick your shots than just rely on one of them hitting and getting the kill.

And seriously...again..most of the servers that I play on, have hardly anyone spraying, no one camps, and most people use the G3 or the M14, with the occasional G36c/MP5/AK. I suppose you have to find the better servers on both types to really make a good opinion.

While you're not exactly wrong about someone pulling the trigger first, you have a skewed view of Hardcore. It's a lot more complicated than "he saw me first, so obviously he's going to kill me": if you have trouble understanding that, I can forgive you for preferring to remain in Softcore mode.

i have been on softcore games where someone at the beginning of Crossfire will spam his LMG through all the walls down the hill and rack up loads of kills as we are still spawning, i can see it only being worse in HC.

Maybe im wrong, i have not played it enough to make a real judgment on it.

softcore, just more fun imo, i dont mind playing hardcore now and then but taking away a hud and making it slightly easier to kill/die is not a solid gameplay change so i find there is a huge difference.

I don't understand everyone's beef with Hardcore. Every HC server I've played on today was filled with people holding 1:1 ratios, and perhaps two or three players with ratios over 2:1.

I just finished playing another HC round and I easily had the best ratio with 31-5. The next best was 42-26 or something along those lines. If you know how to play, it doesn't matter that a bunch of tools run around throwing nades and using LMGs.

Smarten up and you'll do fine, for f*ck's sake.

HC does feel cheap as fcuk.
I enjoy Arma, RO, Ins and other shooters with no hud and one shot kills, omg realism.
HC just feels akward. Removing the hud and amping the damage doesn`t cut it. I mean, it`s so piss easy to run around with a M16+jammer+sprint, especially on maps like Pipeline which is a fcuking maze for some.
HC= fail, and played by those who can`t take it in softcore.

I play whatever server has the best ping for me.

Quite literally, thats the only way I choose my servers. :)

I'll play Hardcore, Softcore, Free For All, Team Deathmatch, Sabotage (My favorite), Headquarters, Domination, etc... I don't care, as long as the ping is good and theres at least 5 or 6 people in the server.

Hardcore is fun because you have to rely on sound to know where your enemy is. I get edgy sometimes, it's like playing Counter-strike back in the day. Always move, and avoid the camper-kill zones.

Softcore is fun because the map helps you find the enemies faster (When they fire anyways), making it much more frantic. Always move, and kite around the masses of newbies who flood the center squares for easy kills.

I enjoy both. Although i must say on the occasion i would like a SC game, i find it pretty hard to find a server, maybe thats just my luck, but to me it seems the community prefers HC as a whole.

Either is good with me tho.

I'm going to have to go with softcore... I'm pretty sure my parents would kill me if I liked hardcore.

I like normal a lot more than hardcore. I was on a hardcore sreak for like a week buying into this "It's more realistic" crap but then I realized that everyone sniping with G3s wasn't very realistic and I would rather some variety with the guns.
