Buddy Lists ?

Is there a way to keep track of your in-game buddies?
I'm scouting around to join up with a clan, I just can't seem to get the info on this stuff.

Not as of right now mate, but its something alot of us would like to see implemented.

Ide say your best bet atm is Xfire, but i cant really suggest much else.

i agree Xfire is the best solution for your needs. + it has lots of other functions too that can be both fun and useful at times.

The reason it's harder to keep track of your in-game pals in CoD4 then i.e ETQW is because everyone don't have unique In-game names/with unique gaming accounts, therefor they don't have a built in message system. The reason (I believe) Infinity Ward didn't add this to the game is cause they wanted people to be able to change their in-game names as often as they wanted.

A way they can tweak this, is adding a buddy system based off of IP addresses, that lists the original Profile name. So like if someone added me, it would show "tslaw" not "[42SRT]TSlaw" So you can change your profile name all you want, and your friends can see your orignal name and still know who you are.

I think that could work out.
