My mouse!

I play BF2 alot, im pretty good for a console gamer( BF2:MC SUCKS!:nod:)

NEway I have an optical mouse,- PS/2 compatible or something.

Whnever im playing, sometimes my screen randomly starts spinning in circles. Ordinarily its jsut annoying, but whenever im flying it speels certain doom and an instant death.

Does anyone else have this problem with an optical mouse and how do I fix it?

I had it, but i never worked out a fix, i simply bought a new mouse.

Does your mouse have it's own drivers? I had problems with my Mx1000 laser cordless until I uninstalled the logitech drivers and use the default windows HID compliant ones.
It could also be your PS/2 port. Did your mouse come with an adapter to USB? If so, try using that and see if it helps.

and here is the thing i bought it for over 6-7 years ago , and thiz baby stiill works like new , and iv played way to many games on it ^^

i just cant imagine how many times iv clicked on that button

hey i kinda have this same problem i have an optics mouse, i dont know what type but it says acer on it(also the name of my computer) and with the mousepad it sometimes gets *sticky* or slow and without the mousepad it will all of a sudden jump up or spin any solutions?

I can tell you that without the mousepad an optical mouse can act up on reflective surfaces. It's because the sensor is "taking pictures" of the surface it's on and moving the cursor based on the difference between pictures. On a shiny surface the mouse gets confused and "blinded" by it's own reflection. So either use a rough looking surface or get a laser mouse. Lasers aren't affected as much because the wavelength of the beam is tighter.
