arrgghh OMFG!!!

Can someone help me with this. After a while of playing random call of duty servers today, my comp froze and restarted. Tried going back to COD4. And, every time i click on "Join Game" it lags and cod4 commits suicide(screws up)
What can i do? Anyone come across this?

This hasn't happened before. Its been working normally until now...

First, backup your profile to a safe place.

Second, clean out your computer temp directories (Usually in C:\windows\temp and your profile\local settings\temp)

Third, run checkdisk and reboot.

Fourth, try it again and see if it works OK.

Fifth, put your profile back and see if it works OK.

I suspect a corrupt file somewhere. May need to re-install if it doesnt work at step 4.

What do you mean by checkdisk?

go into command prompt and type in:

chkdsk /r

Hey what files do i need to backup if im reinstalling?

Reinstalled, put in the whole of my profile back into profiles. ANd still crashes when i click on join game. What now?
