I just started up playing, and got down the Engineer tree, but realized the Assault/medic trees were more for me. I tried to delete my character, but I re-entered the name and I got the same profile back.

I forgot how long it is, but that "name" stays active for awhile even after you deleted it. I think it's about 2 weeks. So your best bet is to create a different soldier and play him for awhile, then try using the old name again.
Or, keep him going as your engi soldier, and create anther one as your assault soldier. In a couple months it probably won't matter much because you'll have most of the unlocks anyway.

No... I deleted a test soldier of mine a LONG time ago (April-ish) and I can still get him back to this day. If you want to start over, add a period or something to your name

OK...yep.... going by what he ^ says, screw it. You've got yourself an engi soldier. Now, create yourself another soldier that you want to use as an assault class. (PS....go Baur, not Voss.) Since you have a total of 4 soldiers you can create, you shouldn't be too limited.
Like I said, after you have all, or most, of the unlocks, it won't matter anyway as all your soldiers will be pretty equal.Comment

Stat pad on a knife/shock paddle server, take a screenshot of yourself and then report yourself to EA. Maybe they'll wipe your stats for you..

I want to know the result of that, if you can report yourself and get your own stats wiped, but anyone else they ignore, That would figure!Comment

I recently got Knifing-101 and ALGER* wiped (both stat padders AND 3-Star Generals)... Took them a week and a half to do it, but they did.
