Soloing > 2 people in the heli with VOIP

Just a few minutes ago in a Global Conflict match, against 2 choppers with good pilots/gunners and 2 good jet pilots.

Also, this was on the EU Global Conflict server. I had 140 ping the entire time.

Yes, there were 2 good jet pilots. My team had 2 good jet pilots too, so they really don't have time to go after helis, mostly armor and the jets. That's what happens when the teams are balanced.

If you're more of an asset to your team than a hazard, I'm all for a soloing Pilot, but the reason it's frowned upon is most pubs is that someone who is just average as a gunner/pilot will take off solo, and be only half the mediocre helicopter team that he could have been.

Which in fractions is like 1/4 of his potential.

I've also seen pairs before where they flew the entire round together and dominated by denying armor to do anything other than move a couple feet. And they only died a couple of times. Pairs is more difficult to do than Soloing, and whiners and soloists' don't like to hear it; but the reality is when you're paired up you have to rely on that pilot to avoid the gun fire and missiles, and vice versa when your Gunner is trying to TV the enemy Helo.

The reason its frowned upon is that most of these guys will redline everyone without giving him a chanse...

I always give them a chance, I love meeting new pilots or gunners, if they are good I often invite them to xfire, how do you think I met most of these guys here eh :)

I let them in and give them a chance or two, if they suck I tell them to bail out, I even bring them back to the main base, if they don't bail out I have no problem with redlining them

Well, thats painful. So what exactly is the problem? I cant recall BF2 choppers being so low in competition before. Its a whole lot better in jet aspect, as at least in Europe, most notably Scandinavia, youve got at least 10 names duking it out. At least that was the case in the summer.
