Are there no Northern strike servers anymore? I just re-installed 2142 today and northern strike after taking like a 4-5 month break. I filter assault line games that aren't empty, and only 3 northern strike servers come up..
timeless servers are just as bad for server crashes especially the camp g one!!! i had over 40 knife kills on a timeless titan server a few months back only for it to crash!!! never went on another since

I believe there's a server called FULLCONTACTWAR or something. I have it in favorites as it is the ONLY populated NS server that I can join without getting kicked. (all the Aussie ones are empty)
The fullcontactwar servers are good ones, not including loss of connection, but they are about the only ones left these days. I only play on these ones since they are still decently populated most days. It all depends on the time of day of course, some are better than others but worth putting in your favorites.
There are NS servers but the trouble is that the only one that does a full rotation AND is always full is an 'FF off' server. The punters seem to love 'FF off' but it promotes cheap tactics.
Moders Port Bavaria was good until recently, there is alot of foul play on it especially with rampant spawn raping and pod surfing. Additionally, a rather suspect player has appeared.

I'm quite sad to see this actually, I remember when i first got Northern Strike, there were tons of servers! Doorman is God had a really good one, and i played on afew other ones too that were always full.

Probably wouldn't suit me given that its on the West Coast which is a fair shout from ye old motherland - 5277 miles to be precise. But anyway better to see it not dead.

Well, we've got some newbies to the clan that don't have their NS Awards yet so we'll probably have it up and running over the weekend at least. If it stays full we may get it going next week too. I am ready at this point for EA to just release it to everyone so I can add it in a rotation with our city maps.
EA should release NS as free. Sure I already paid $10 for it but I honestly don't care since there are so few servers and I heard making an NS server is bad for traffic cus not many people have it.

I paid for it but at this point would have no problem with making it free. Having a NS only server is the only way to do it because if not every time it switches to a NS map you lose 1/3 to 1/2 the server. Then, the problem with a NS only server is that the number of palyers that have it is small so you don't have much of a player base to work with when trying to keep it populated.
