Map Editor???

I am new to CoD4. I just bought it last night and beat it.

i am interested in playing the multiplayer tonight and cant wait to leave work. I have been looking at all the components to the Multiplayer gaming experience that CoD4 has to offer and a few posts ago someone had posted all the birds eye views of the maps.

My question is, is there a map creator software for this game. i have many ideas that would be great for creating a map. i am just wondering if i would be able to do it!

ALSO, (in before edit) what guns are best used for what maps. i dont know the maps so please just post what you think is best.

side note: what guns are best for close range? Snipering? All around sluaghtering (spray and pray method)? and of course you all purpose killing machine?

umm if you want a good killer, id get p90 or m4. But really its all opinionated.

Don't use the noob tube, its named that for a reason.

The M16 assault rifle is a very good weapon to start with. It fires in bursts with low reoil, very good in CQB, and accurate at a distance.

best all round guns for me: m249 SAW for medium range, barret for sniping and p90 for the spray gun

True, i just dont like giving up my silencer/Acog for it.

Don't use the noob tube, its named that for a reason.

Here's a nice little tip for the OP: If you use overkill and put GLs on both weapons, you get four grenades.

Omfg guys the subject is map editor not guns, guns, guns. There are plenty of threads where you guys can go argue what the best combo is.

To answer your map editor question, liked Spik3d said, there is no tools out yet. I know I'm waiting here bored for them also. But be patient they are coming.

Actually, i did ask a question pertaining to weapons. but i am already getting some good experience using what i got so far.

also, i am currently making a map on paper. it will be epic. but i think i will need to get someone to help me with some programming if its needed for the map. it will deffinately be cool. it will be a takeoff on an old map someone else created that i used to play for wolfenstein (the latest version). but better and for CoD4. i just need to find a reputable Team to host the map!!!
