    Questions about console commands

In case I write a command into console, how would I be able to make it so that it gets saved, so that the next time I wouldnt have to enter the commands again?

    Dont entirely understand the question.

When you enter a command to change a setting most of the time the changed setting will remain in effect, unless you have your profile folder as read only .

You can quickly select the command by partially typing it into the console then pressing TAB.

suppose if its something you do a lot, you could bind it too a key.

Other than that as Repulse said, the settings are normally saved, like changing maxpackets, remains the value you changed it to.

Thanks. I was worried that they dont. Like for example, changing the shader model from 3.0 to 2.0. Im curious as how the transition takes place. Playing around with it in the main menu didnt really have any effect. So it got me thinking about whether or not the settings are stored or not.

          Type /seta before the command.
