When using a joystick with a throttle, you can have it anywhere between -100% and 100%. Full Reverse or Full Forward, basically. A lot of the more advanced techniques may call for you to only be at 50% or 80%, etc, throttle.
I haven't come across anything like that, but I've never needed one. The people to ask would be Chris_Redfield, metallica, FlyJetAndKill...Comment

Well, I don't think he has a joystick. He's looking for a program to map an individual button to an individual throttle ratio.Comment

80% throttle for F35B for me means I can engage the MiG-29 in a more tighter turn radius, while keeping the agility. Pushing the afterburner instantly boosts the speed up by 30%, instantly. So yeah, playing with speed and afterburners definitely has certain tactical value.
As for the OP, no. No such method. However, I use DXTweak2 to pull the 0 throttle mark down so it looks like this.
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| |||||||||||||||||||
-100%-------0%-----------------------------------------------+100%
Which means that the markings engraved on my stick span through more space. But it all boils down to markings.Comment

ya i dont own a joystick, nor would i want to use one for flying. in bf2 i dont need throttle, but in project reality you cant take off without being able to taxi. all i want to do is trick my keyboard into thinking some of the buttons are throttle percentages, just like in the old flight sims like wing commander and xwing/tie fighter games.Comment

In PR, you dont use the main engine throttle to taxi.Originally posted by Roger Smithya i dont own a joystick, nor would i want to use one for flying. in bf2 i dont need throttle, but in project reality you cant take off without being able to taxi. all i want to do is trick my keyboard into thinking some of the buttons are throttle percentages, just like in the old flight sims like wing commander and xwing/tie fighter games.
You use the arrow keys if you're using a keyboard.
