Red Dot Sight and Muzzle Flash

When using certain SMGs like the AK-74u and LMGs like the RPD, the Red dot sight actually tends to increase the muzzle flash. Is this just me? :hmm:

The muzzle flash is that bad that I can't use the Mini-uzi without attaching a Silencer.

Maybe it's because the Red Dot is set higher on the gun, so you see more of the muzzle. Like when using Iron sights, you have the gun covering some of the muzzle?

      Quite possibly.

I don't think the muzzle flash was so severe on my 7900GT though. Wonder what setting I should disable.

I got a 7900 GT and I have everything on/high, and my muzzle flash isn't that bad.

There are several weapons I avoid the red dot for this very reason. The AK-47 and the AK-74 are the two worst offenders. I usually use the silencer on both weapons anyway, so it's not an issue for me.
