I want the g-9, for no other reason than the weight.
I have looked at the g-5 it is nice and i would not have to order it off the net. The only thing is I dont like the blueness.
Logitech does make a g-7 cordless gaming mouse. I am not into anything cordless when it comes to gaming. I think it is the fly factor, anything that is cordless will fly, I have not worked out the damagless landings.Comment

Logitech MX510 and 518 I'd say are the best bank for the $$$.
On the subject of wireless, it's very much dependent on the type of wireless signaling the mouse uses, and the environment you game in. The most common mistakes I see people make are:
-Too far from the base station. Optimum effective range is often only 2-3ft, but you see people plug in the receiver and then just leave it under the desk behind the PC.
-Too many other wireless devices in close proximity. If your wireless router, cordless phone, and cell phone are all in the same room as your mouse, you're probably going to have problems.
Bluetooth is the only wireless technology I've never had issues with. But I haven't seen any good BT gaming mice on the market. They have them, but they're aimed at the HTPC market.Comment

If, over the course of your playing days, you haven't smashed or launched at least one mouse across the room, then you just haven't been trying hard enough.
