i agree with him tbh, there is no need on any of the guns if you get used to the iron sights, the only ones i find a bit stupid are the M14 and the MP44.

Otherwise i silence them all.

Someone had posted that they can Zoom in using the acog. when i sight up using the acog....i dont know of any 'zoom' feature. Is there a way to 'Zoom' other than just sighting with the ACOG?

you cant zoom using the Acog, it only has one set up.

The ACOG has a slight fixed zoom, look at the the pictures I posted on our wiki which clearly shows the difference between ACOG and iron sights.

If you look at the "stat bars" in the class creation screen, you will see the effect of the attachments.

• Silencer: decreases range
• Red Dot: No Effect
• ACOG: Increases range but decreases accuracy

I have no idea why they think the ACOG should decrease accuracy, that seems counter-intuitive

The G3 is the only weapon where I use ACOG, the rest are Red Dot or silencer.

Yeah, on the snipers it shows a reduction in range instead of a reduction in accuracy. I don't know if it has any noticeable effect with the large range that the snipers has, you probably couldn't hit anything with the ACOG beyond its effective range anyway.

Red dot... there is no reason at all to have a scope on any AR, SMG or LMG in this game... My 3 main classes I use all use red dot or stock sights.. same with my 2 scrim classes.. I really with we had more space so I could have my pub loadouts and my scrim loadouts since for scrims it is always in hardcore mode.. you dont need stopping power and other stuff that you would need in a pub.. but I do get by fine with what I have I only use 3 guns anyway.. cept for scriming I use the G36C as I need a full auto ar on some maps.. but my mains are M16, PRD and P90.. the 3 best guns in the game.. tho I think I might try the G3 agian as a loadout for scriming.. but agian no acog.. in RL I would rather have an Acog but in the game im all for the red dot.. I do have a red dot on one of my AR's that I shoot at my local range and it really is easy as hell to aim.. I can get a fist group at 100 yards with out even trying.. I love it but anything over that you are going to want at least 3X... when I shoot 100-200 yards with my R700 with my 3-9x50 scope I use 6 power and it is just right.. but yeah this is a game unlike rl.. you are going to want the best fov u can get in a game.. as with rl and even tho the acog is ment to be use with both eyes open for a good fov you cant get that effect in the game.. it would be cool to see how they would do somthing like that tho..

M16, PRD and P90.. the 3 best guns

Its certainly 3 of the easiest guns in the game, so of course you wont be using a device that improves marksmanship.

The ACOG allows you to locate and identify targets at longer range due to is magnification. It works great with ARs like the M14 but becomes a liability on weapon used full auto at closer range. So it depend on your playstyle, but its not worthless.

i prefer the ACOG. i love the little zoom that it gets and for some reason i personally get better aim with it.

And i find it easier to fire away 2-3 shots that will kill an enemy then having the red dot when i don't have the same precision

The red dot sight on the mp5 rules, and tbh i use ironsights quite a bit so i can get the nade launcher, it just helps when u get those people u just can get, the only other wep i got with red dot is the p90, but tbh i wish the MP44 had a red dot choice, i find the scope difficult.

If only we had an Eotech... But still, i prefer ACOG over the Reflex. More zoom mostly, though the lack of a breath holding ability gets annoying somethings.
