I cannot get my mutiplayer to work. I have tried reinstalling installing new sound drivers and have had no luck. I get a pop up message that is iw3mp.exe when ever i try and run multi... Any suggestions would be amazing!

If you've played through the single-player missions, make a backup save of your player/profiles folder on your desktop.
Then, try to completely uninstall the entire game, then re-install it, and apply patch v1.4. You might just have a corrupt install that you could quickly fix.
If it still happens after that, you need to investigate further. -
