Sniper gets you kicked + question

Just recieved the new stable (unlock) for the sniper class. Although I am no good at sniping, I do my best to be a reasonable sniper to help the team move in, (defending teammates and also the point we have captured to hold). Every time I am a sniper class, and find a position. Or when lose a place, and I am stuck at a point or I will be discovered when heavy infantry are around the point. I get kicked because the server states, no spawn killing. What is the point of having a sniper class, when you are bound to get kicked for being one? The sniper class ends up with very low score, (well I do), and I find it pointless.

From the Abilities unlocks: Sprintcor 20 Enhanced Endurance and the Staminar 9 Recovery System. I find they are no different with out them. I do not notice the ability change from even before I unlocked the Sprintcor 20 Enhanced Endurance. I do get the chance of getting a try using the Staminar 9 Recovery System when I get a Field upgrade. I see nothing (no change) in these. How do get these to work?

You need to play on a server that doesn't have that BS "no spawn camping" rule. That's for clans that can't hold their own. Come visit FLOT's BF2142 server and you won't be sorry.

Generally, it seems the "no spawn camping" rule is geared towards uncaps, or they just don't want you to park a walker or APC next to an enemy point and blow up everyone who spawns there. I don't have an opinion one way or the other, but applying it to snipers is ridiculous. That's what a sniper is supposed to do.

Those are both excellent upgrades. I would recommend that you unlock them as soon as you can since they improve all soldier kit-types. Both of those upgrades will increase the distance you can run before you get winded. One actually lets you run farther, the other allows you to recover faster. I would highly recommend you get the Stamina upgrade permanently since it is fantastically frustrating to get winded often.

Since you are a sniper, equip light battle armor. That will allow you to run much farther before you get tired, and most snipers are killed either by other snipers (headshot) or by knife attacks. Either way, heavy armor won't help you a bit.

As to the spawn rule, I have never seen it applied to snipers picking off spawners, although I have seen some guys whine about dying that way. What you may want to do is play Titan and defend a silo as a sniper. Then no one will whine (well, actually, they will still whine but at least you won't get kicked).

i would say no heavy armor as there are many zeller noobs who try to kill with 2 body shots or hope that the enemie is wounded and will die from one body shot. but if you have light armor a zeller will kill you in one shot regardless where he hit you. so use heavy armor it saves your live many times.

According to the Zeller thread (I don't have that unlock, so I can't verify this for you), the Zeller will do 90% damage with a single body shot when light armor is equiped. It will do 80% with heavy armor.

So [apparently] the Zeller won't kill you with a single shot if you equip light armor, unless you are shot in the head.

That's why FLOT got rid of the no base/spawn camping rule back when we had our BF2 server. It got impossible to figure out who was camping and who wasn't. It simplified admining for us and make the server more fun. Teams quickly learn to adapt when they're under pressure. I personally try not to base camp, espcially if it's a team's only flag.

The Zeller does 100% damage to head and shoulder area for light armor.

Heavy armor it does 100% to head only.

                    Stick with light armor, though.
