BF2 Install Failed ??.

Hi.

I have had BF2 now for 2yrs and i have just had to reinstall it and it gets right near the end of copying files and i get this.....



I tryed rebooting the PC and it still doesnt install. I need it working tonight as we have scrim.

i see mcafee their, at the end of install the product is registered, this happened to me with FSX, turn of mcafee + windows firewall

Will give it another go with Mcafee off. TBH its the first time i have installed BF2 when running Mcafee.

100% its the problem m8, it stops its from registering DLL files etc...

Hi. Well still no luck!. XP firewall is off and i have stopped all Mcafee stuff from opening up. Still gets stuck on the same file.

Any other ideas guys??.

I had somthing alot like this but it was near the beginning, it was where the disc was SOO scratched that it was unable to read anymore data, so it might be that, look at ur disc try cleaning it. in the end i had to get a new game

The disc is pretty bad for scratches and its got a small crack going from the centre hole just about going onto the information part of the disc. Will try cleaning it, Otherwise am gonna have to buy a new game again!

mate, thats sounds EXACTLY like my cd a crack going from centre hole, lol you sure u dont have my disc?

Tell you what, Its only the 2nd of Jan and everything has gone wrong!!. My HD had just died (2nd one in less than 1yr) Lost all my pictures/work/songs and i was gonna back them up that same night!!!! NO!. Now i cant even play BF2, WHY OH WHY!.
