Installing Special Forces, Downloaded From The Ea Site ?????????

I downloaded Special Fources Last Night but can't install it!

it begins the install wizard, first it starts to patch BF to 1.1 and thats as far as it goes. i left it on all night and it did nothing!

if anyone has had this problem or no a way to sort it lemme knbow plzz ,thank you!

SF patches BF2 to version 1.1, that is normal. You just have to re patch it to 1.41 after you have installed.

You could try going to the EA download manager folder (Think it's in C:\program files\electronic arts) In there should be a 'cache' folder and in this should be your SF download. It might be called 'Xpack' or something, I dunno cos I have mine on disk. When you find it just duble click on it and try installing it that way. Make sure you try it as soon as u boot up ur pc and make sure nothing else is running e.g antivirus etc
Then re patch to 1.41 afterwards.

Ok thanks, Its not the patching thats a problem. I get that. Its just when it says it's patching it to 1.1. It just says "Patching, Please Wait" and does nothing. i left it liek that all last night and woke up to the same god dam message :@ haha!

A re install usualy sorts most probs for some reason?

I have never had these probs, no matter where i have installed from? maybe I'm just lucky?

Try Ea support if it's a prob with their downloader!

sorted now, after my pc went tits up i rebuilt it and it installed fine this time around
