    Frontlines: Fuel of War

I have tried Call of Duty 4, and the squad play isn't as tight as BF2142. There are some cool game trailers for Fuel of War at Game Trailers LINK

Not sure how the squad play will be in that game, but it looks pretty cool. Similar to assault lines, you have to own a location before you can move the front line forward.

Never heard of it before today, have any of you played the demo (if there is one)?

I tried it, here are my reviews:

As for gameplay... No Knife, which disappointed me (its really easy to get behind someone) and the guns are all... weird. A Fully Zoomed in Sniper rifle (with no sway) misses a perfectly lined up shot on a stationary target 3/5 times. The Drones are fun (I wish my Accipitator was remote controlled ), and the frontlines game mode is good in concept. The idea is that because of how the map is lined up it forces the team to work together, to push toward the front line instead of having everyone sneak to the back.

However, that removes one of my favorite aspects of any FPS game; stealth. Its good common sense that dictates that you should have someone guarding your main base, but in this game all the fighting happens on the "Front Lines". Now because of this "Front Line" all the fighting happens in cramped chokepoints. Yes, imagine the Central Camp to Ruins nadespam, just for an entire round with no hope of taking the catwalk and flanking the enemy from EU base. No hope of getting an infiltrator past to cap the toll station as a distraction... Just constant madness in the same old chokepoint, over and over. And Over. For all eternity.

Thats all I got to say about it for now.

PPS: Almost forgot to discuss: Graphics. I played it all maxed out, still getting around 50 FPS. It looks... I dunno. Cartoony a bit. I guess I have just been a bit spoiled by Crysis :p

Tank Madness, but vehicles are pretty weak in this game (at least compared to 2142 they are). I love playing as EMP Tech, cause then when I snipe (or go spec. ops) they can't get me on radar. The ability to stop them annoying little drones is helpful too! I love using the EMP Launcher on a vehicle, and then lacing it with C-4. When the pilot comes to, he just drives on like nothing happens, then BOOM! Tons of fun :p Still a serious lack of teamwork (my team lost twice in a row... It really seemed like I was the only one who was actually on the "FrontLine"), and I managed to come in third place each of the rounds I played, behind the Chopper Whores. Which brings us to the Chopper Whores. Remember the anal rapage that jets used to bring about in BF2? Well, its back. I managed to hit one with an EMP rocket once, it was kinda funny watching him helplessly fall to the ground :p
A few more things: Squad play is ALOT like 2142. Teamwork however is not. Squads mostly work the same, you can create a squad and invite people to join. As a squad leader you can issue orders at flags, and your squad members can spawn on you. No Squad leader toys though As for teamwork... Your guy auto-heals, and ammo is contained in these funny little boxes scattered over the map.

I dont rate it to be honest i agree it is rather cartoony and the game is way to easy.

                    definitely not a clan game.

Lol I just like giving covering fire when I'm really bored. I just pretend like it actually helps

The game has kinda a cool concept with the frontline thing. But half your team is still wandering everywhere doing random stuff. And like Fin said, no stealth concept and little to no flanking.

Kaos has stated that they are working on shader 2.0 support. There's still lots of stuff that hasn't been done yet. See their web site for the rest. It's pretty good now and will only get better.

IMO, it is a good game, and the way I look at it is that if I think it is kinda good now, then the real game is going to be much much better.

Plus, I will always support the guys who made DesertCombat.
