    Friendly Fire : Reflect?

CoD4 allows 4 options for Friendly Fire:
    Enabled | Shared | Reflect | Disabled
What do you think about the "Reflect" setting? AFAIK it simply applies all damage done to teammates to the player responsible.

The poll is biased, but I want to see your opinions. Please share them and your experience with different FF settings in your reply.

Isn't "Shared" for both, like you still kill the guy but it damages/kills you too? If so I think that's the best.

I just played on a server with "reflect" and I think I got killed 4 times by nitwits walking in from of me while I was firing a m249.
But I still prefer this to feeling guilty from killing an innocent team mate.

I am not quite sure where I stand with regards to FF on/off in COD4.
Usually I want FF on, but COD4 is quite crowded.

FF off, with a lack of punishments or any penalty for Teamkilling, I'd stick to FF off.

I prefer it off, after all I don't mean to kill ppl, it happens by accident and besides that I don't really wanna die every time sume noob decides to run into my nades or line of fire.

I also prefer it off most of the time.

It's a nice change of pace sometimes, however...and if the damage isn't reflected, it lets you deal with door blockers directly. But, it also attracts the TK'ing smacktards...so even if you have the game set up to kick after so many, or an active admin, it still adds up to some grief along the way.

That is exactly why I prefer FF on in other games. It discourages people from spamming explosives all over the place.

On Deathmatch games where shooting everything in sight is a must, FF Off.

On Tactical games like S&D and Sabotage, Reflect.

I dont know what it is, but when FF is on, its just chaos and pandemonium. I think because its off by default, no one knows how to react and starting killing each other. Then there are revenge kills and stupid things. Everyone leaves mad.

I personally think Reflect is cool and think its a great idea, BUT with the craziness, off is the "sane" choice.

I like FF disabled, it's a win-win situation, I don't get teamkilled and I don't have to worry about teamkilling someone. Though, I'm fine with FF enabled, shared or reflection.

ff off in cod4, i mean they are cramming 50 ish people on maps 1/4 the size of karkand and god knows that map was a frag feast already. cod4 is a million times worse, makes running the gauntlet of karkand ally look like childs play.

However you still need some kind of weapon for getting the sniping camping idiots out of doorways...

*sigh* After having some more experience with my team-mates I would like to change my vote from "reflect" to "shared" or "disabled".

It is becoming a quite common experience to have people walk in front of me while I am firing a long burst form the SAW. They will never learn if they don't suffer any damage, so lets just drop FF completely. :shakehead

Is it unusual to hate your own team more than the enemy?
